Kingwood, TX resident Trey Whitley used a deluxe Winchester Model 1895 in .30-’03 to down this heavy Minnesota whitetail.  Trey hunted as the guest of fellow Club member Patrick Moran.

 

Michael Sawyer took this 2 x 3 mule deer in October 2002 on the north fork of the Salmon River in Idaho.  One shot from his Marlin Model 1893 in .38-55 dropped this nice mulie on the run at about 75 yards.

 

Club president Ralph Tuttle, of Enumclaw, WA bagged this nice Montana whitetail in the mountains just north of Regis, MT with his treasured 1886 in .33 WCF.  One shot did the job.

 

11-year-old Shane Johnson with his Dad and friend, Tony Makras, (also a RooseveltBrowning Club member), and a nice Texas mule deer buck.  Looks like Shane downed it with his Winchester Model 94 in .30 WCF.

 

Enumclaw, WA residents David Ballestrasse and Ralph Tuttle have hunted with their Model 1886's for years.  David took this big Washington mule deer with his .45-70 extra light deluxe.  He won the "Big Buck" pot that year.

Whitetail and Mule Deer

 

John McAdams, a West Point cadet and son of RooseveltBrowning Club member Kevin McAdams, took this nice Texas whitetail while on Thanksgiving leave.  A single shot from John’s Remington Model 8 with Marble’s tang sight downed this 130-class buck at about 40 yards.

 

Trey Whitley of Kingwood, TX took this 170-class New Mexico desert mule deer in November 2004 with one shot from his .33 WCF deluxe, takedown Winchester Model 1886.

 

This fantastic mule deer was downed by Mike Ragsdale  near Canyon Creek, Colorado.  Mike made a 100-yard shot on this 180-class buck with his .45-70 Winchester 1886.
