Club member Patrick Moran of Longville, MN took this nice barren ground caribou in Quebec in September 2005.  Patrick chose a .33 WCF Winchester Model 1886 takedown with special-order Lyman 21 receiver sight for this hunt.

North American Big Game

 

Keith D. Boe used an original Springfield Trapdoor in .45-70 GOV’T to down this nice antelope at 60 yards.  Keith was hunting public land near the Powder River.

 

Ralph G. Tuttle, club president, shot this 57-incher on the Noatak River drainage about 100 miles north of Kotzebue, AK.  One shot from his 1886 in .33 WCF with original old ammo.

 

Mike Bailey of Anchorage, AK, got this nice 5-point bull in the Tacoma watershed on a special draw.  His Model 1886 Winchester in .33 WCF required only one shot.

 

17-year-old Will Tuttle with his Winchester Model 1894 Deluxe rare short rifle, takedown, in 30 WCF.  Will took this 12" pronghorn at about 60 yards in wheat stubble just west of Laramie, Wyoming.  It was his first big game trophy.

 

Hollywood actor Brad Johnson, enthusiastic RooseveltBrowning member and recruiter, with the Alaska-Yukon moose he bagged in 2000.  Brad took this nice 56" bull with his Winchester 1886 Deluxe (PG, ½-round ½- octagon, SGB, express sights) takedown short rifle in 50 Express.
